One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in his or her lifetime, according to the American Academy of Dermatology.  Sunscreen is an important tool for combatting the harmful effects of sun exposure and to help prevent the risk of skin cancer.  It is important that physicians remind patients about the importance of wearing sunscreen and keep them informed about choosing the correct sunscreen.
